The scriptures have countless warnings against putting too much confidence in church leaders, even those who carry the title of "prophet." But people still set these men up as idols, "follow" them into temporal and spiritual destruction, and pretend that's a virtue.

My uncle did a mission trip to Africa to teach a village how to raise pigs for food.
They flew in with a bunch of pigs, built pens for them, Food and water troughs, and taught them how to breed them so they could always have meat. Two weeks of work and teaching.
They went back a year later to check on the village. They had thrown a giant party the night after my uncle left, slaughtered and ate all the pigs, sold the feeders and fencing, and were really pissed off that the mission didn't bring them more pigs.

I could do a whole thread on this, but what for? Pick any political issue, look up what Obama said about it in 2008, and then compare Trump's position on it today. There's nothing remotely controversial about what I'm saying here, except that it hurts soft Republicans' feelings.
What I said is objectively true. On every major political question (with maybe one or two exceptions that I may be overlooking), Obama in 2008 was solidly to the right of Trump today.
