This might sound crazy.
But one of the skills you NEED to learn is how to deal with a more and more illiterate society full of emotionally dysregulated people.
If you keep getting frustrated every day over how "ďumb" everything/everyone seems, the stress of it is going to wreck your mind.

The tragedy of being born in a third-world country is that you are expected to compete globally while living in an environment that makes the most basic things unnecessarily difficult.

Fetching JSON from an API and mapping it to records in plain Java.
No Jackson. No Gson. No dependencies.
Just HttpClient and the new JSON API coming in JDK 28 (JEP 540). 👀

I’ve been in Nigeria for over three weeks now and I’ve been bottling up my anger.
Nigeria is a reckless country with untameable corruption. Our people behave like wild animals!
It’s so scary to live here!
People misbehave uncontrollably!
Almost everything is FAKE!
People are so rude!
Nobody gets value for money here!
Absolutely every establishment is overpowered by incompetence.
There’s no proactive governance.
People who’ve enjoy this level of lawlessness and anyhowness cannever support an overhaul of the system.
The entitlement of the people is sickening.
The people are not patriotic and are the reasons for the daily destruction of the country, yet they quickly point fingers to others once you’re about to point their errors to them.
Nigeria is the HQ of hypocrisy.
Lastly, for a country this far sunk in moral and societal decay, democracy might not cut it anymore.
Nigeria needs to consider communism maybe. 😡

I have a small circle, but what I'm seeing is that "vibe-coding" hasn't really amounted to "everyone will be developers" and the gap didn't close as much as it widened.
It's mostly been amplification so far: competent engineering, design, and product people now have leverage, going after bigger ideas, shipping faster, and producing higher quality output.
Everyone else got a faster way to produce slop without any meaningful improvement in the actual work.

There is no place on earth where Nigerians are dominant and the place is a good place to stay
No place
"But Nigerians relocate to other countries and behave well"
Yes because they are scared of deportation which will bring shame to them
Yes because Nigerians are not the majority in those countries. If Nigerians become the majority in any location, that place immediately becomes shvt.
Go to any country and look for a cluster where Nigerians are the majority. That place is always a shithole where street dogs can't even stay
Look at any country in Europe
Find out about locations where Nigerians are dominant by 70% and above
Some sane Nigerians avoid that place like mad and don't want to go there

A woman from America is in Nigeria
She says the country is so horrible, it’s basically not even a real place
“The country's infrastructure sucks” and shows you essentially need a boat to go down the road after it rains
She says the politicians are extremely corrupt and steal all the money. Nigeria’s government is estimated to be 100% black. The government elected officials, civil servants, military leadership and majority of all public sector roles are all black
While the people of Nigeria live like this, their President has at least 20 properties in the UK

And they played 𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗟𝗬 the same way in the 2026 World Cup. That's what you call a football identity.

Repost for others to learn!
early in my career when i was learning a new tech or language i would tinker and google whenever i hit a roadblock
eventually i realized books had all the information i needed pre-googled for me
i think this is happening again with LLMs - sometimes i waste so much time letting the LLM keep taking swings instead of reading something
hope the industry doesn't abandon producing good reading material

GlassFish and #JakartaEE, rethink the cloud with Nanos Unikernel
With Nanos you remove:
Linux
The container runtime
Kubernetes
You keep scaling, upgrades, and isolation
You gain a runtime lighter, faster, and more efficient than containers
