Following the strong JOLTS job openings reading and also the surge in a measure of prices paid for inputs of the services PMI data yesterday to near a two-year high pointed to elevated inflation. Markets now price in just 38 bps of rate cuts for 2025, pushing the first expected cut to July. There is a lot of speculation about a potential pause this year or even a hike.
