What a great day we had to celebrate European Day of Languages! Thank you to Mr McGowan for organising the day for our S2 pupils, with food, fun and dancing. We also had a staff coffee morning with European treats, organised by our super FH Miss McGhee. @OLHSMotherwell
Happy European Day of Languages!! We have a non-stop day of fun for our S2 pupils, with foods from around Europe, European Just Dance, flag making, an Eiffel Tower competition, Linguascope and Blooket ! Updates to follow!! @OLHSMotherwell
Congratulations to Colin(S5), Owen(S2) and Emma(S3) for completing very successfully the Languagenut competition this month 🎉! LingoStars 🤩 #OLHSMwell
OLHS S1 have written beautiful letters ✍️to their French penpals 🇫🇷 wishing them ‘de bonnes vacances!’ ☀️🏄🏻♂️🏖🧢. Bravo S1 for all your great writing skills in French👏. #OLHSMotherwell
S3 French used the newly- learnt vocabulary on personalities to describe classmates. We then played a game of guess who? Lots of fun creative writing ✍️ 🇫🇷
Some of our S3 Spanish have made posters on different jobs and skills you should have for these roles. What career could you have if you are ‘trabajador, responsable y creativo’? @OLHSMotherwell
¡Buena suerte! Wishing good luck to our N5 and Higher pupils sitting their exams today! You have got this 🤩#OLHSMotherwell
Some S2 French classes have been developing their Global Citizenship values through the study of the comic ‘Entre ici et là-bas’. Lots of interesting conversations around the ‘Remembering Empire’ project ! 🇩🇿⛴ 🇫🇷 @OLHSMotherwell
The Masked Linguist Competition 🏴🇫🇷🇪🇸🇩🇪🇮🇹🇮🇪🇹🇷!
Well done to OLHS teachers and Language ambassadors for getting involved in our Masked Linguists competition. Pupils and staff enjoyed guessing the name of the teacher and the language spoken! @olhsmwell
