One Man Click TV

Album Review for Off To The Races by Curren$y and Harry Fraud I think it’s safe to say there isn’t a more consistent rapper alive than Spitta. One thing this man will do is provide you quality raps and will make sure you also have something to smoke to (if you so choose). The way he has a very consistent theme with his albums also make the music more balanced and more enjoyable because the sounds are less sporadic. You have a hazy type feel with real laidback bass lines. The guitar is so damn good on the track “Sound of the Rain” that you have to almost run it back a few time to get appreciation for it. The track “Go So Fast” is the most uptempo track on the project (ironically) and it has some great feature verses from Fendi P and the man who raps in IG captions, Bruiser Wolf. More of the album is filled with slower paced drum kicks but the melodies really do allow you to digest the album easily due to the layered production. The verses aren’t just about smoking and bullshit. Spitta talks about living the good life, the murder of his friend to even his son’s first steps. Don’t get it twisted, he ain’t forget where he came from but he also doesn’t have an issue essentially dunking on you by flexing mid verse on you. Overall, the album is a solid piece of work that has a respectable runtime of about 25 minutes so it allows you to have multiple listens which is great because the album has some high replay value. Favorite Tracks: White Linen Dinner, Go So Fast, Sound Of The Rain Final Score: 8.3/10
