Europe’s greatest landmarks started as bold ideas.
Now it’s our turn. As EU leaders draft the next #EUbudget, they face a choice: build bridges with global partners or retreat.
The MFF Hub is launching a campaign to invest in shared futures.

Replying to @ministerBZ
👏 the proposed disproportionate cut to Global Europe is short-sighted! We count on you @ministerBZ to make the case that this investment is essential at a time when competition for markets, resources & alliances is intensifying + deep aid cuts from other players incl EU MS
The negotiating framework presents significant and unproportional cuts of the Global Europe pillar compared to the EU-Commission proposal.
I strongly warn the members states against cuts in external action policy. That would be short-sighted and risks turning into a historic failure.
The EU needs a long-term strategy for a strong, united EU on the global stage. Without adequate resources for the Global Europe pillar, we would force ourselves to kneel before global powers, that have no interest in a regulated multilateral order, universal values and international law.

“Short-sighted” and at risk of becoming a “historic failure”: @UdoBullmann on the Council’s cuts to Global Europe. He’s right. –17% for the EU’s global budget vs –8% overall. Leaders must keep Heading 3 at min. 10.8% of the MFF at #EUCO.

Every girl deserves more than the chance to dream about her future.
She deserves the chance to shape it.
That means being able to learn, lead, create, make decisions about her own life, and have a real say in the decisions shaping her future.
This International Day of the Girl Child, we are celebrating girls everywhere who are already showing us what’s possible — and standing for a future where equality and opportunity aren’t determined by where you’re born or whether you’re a girl.
Know a girl whose ideas, courage, and leadership inspires you?
Celebrate her in the comments.👏🏽
What if Africa’s greatest resource isn’t underground, but in its young people? 👀
Africa’s future isn’t something to extract.
It’s something to invest in.

Borrowing costs for African governments have surged in recent years. That money should be funding healthcare and care. Instead, it's going to debt repayments — and women carry the weight. The best tribute this Pan African Women's Day is better financing. #PanAfricanWomensDay
"Defence and aid are two sides of the same coin." — @alexanderdecroo, UNDP Administrator, this morning on @Euronews. Now let's see the #MFF reflect it. #GlobalEurope
What kind of Europe will you build?
EU leaders meet this week to negotiate the next long-term budget. Europe's influence wasn't built on withdrawal and it won't be protected by one either.
