A big well done and thank you to one of our amazing volunteers. Janet has just taken part in the Edale Skyline Challenge - a 20 mile walk to the summits of the Dark Peak area of the Peak District including Kinder Scout and Mam Tor, to raise funds for OPAL!
It's been a hot one this week! It seems like summer is finally here! Here are some tips and tricks on how to keep cool:
We all had a wonderful time yesterday at Burnby Hall Gardens looking at the beautiful lilies and feeding the hungry fish! We had a lovely lunch first, soup and a sandwich, then had a walk around the pond. Luckily, it didn't rain so we stayed dry, it was nice to see the sun again!
Thank you to John and James for training all OPAL staff on how to use a fire extinguisher. This was important and useful training, that hopefully we won't need to use!
Our first Welcome In Community Centre & Cafe Scalextric Grand Prix is next Friday! Join us for a morning of racing and fun!
Open to all members of the community.
Did you know that it's #volunteerweek this week?
