Remember when I was talking about Colt Keith and him not swinging and missing at any sliders? In the 21 sliders he's seen in AAA through Sunday, he's swung and missed at just 1... Colt does not miss sliders.

In a “this is really cool” moment for me today: apparently my great-great-grandpa played some form of minor league/independent baseball back in 1910s. Enough that he even has a b-ref page! baseball-reference.com/regis…

Elite chase and whiff in 2023, 2024. Also had elite HardHit% in 2024. Though walks are a bit of an issue. Very Yilber Díaz like. The Tigers need velocity still.

Daysbel Hernandez, gyro slider with no index finger contact. Small hands + extreme pronation makes it hard to get around the ball, so he removed the index finger entirely, and now it's an elite pitch. Current free agent!

Pandora’s box is officially open for the Tigers offseason. Whether there’s anything to these rumors remains to be seen, but as the story goes, hope was the last thing left in the box. We’ll see where this one goes.

And so it begins. The first rumors that the Detroit Tigers are interested in Japanese triple-crown star Teruaki Sato. His team, the Hashin Tigers, just approved his posting to MLB. The thought is that he should have a new contract before the presumed lockout.

Cade Smith, after giving up a HR to Junior Caminero then watching him take his time around the bases while celebrating in an exaggerated manner: “It's not my style but I guess if I don’t like it, I shouldn’t give up home runs.”

Yes, it is known the Tigers more than likely are not going to spend (allegedly) whenever the offseason begins but for the sake of content, and curiousity, wanted to look at three outfield bats that would help. roundtable.io/sports/mlb/tig…

Three right-handed bats the Tigers should consider for their 2027 outfield

With foundational stars set, Detroit must address lingering inconsistency. These three power hitters could stabilize the grass and ignite an offense desperate for reliable righty production.

Idea that I'm working with based off last week and Turang's home run to LCF. Trying to visualize where players are 'potentially' making contact with the baseball. The visual here is what I'm most interested in. Big estimate going on here take with a grain of salt.

Sorry, I'm really fascinated by this right now. Here's 3 different arms. The pitcher in red looks to be the outlier in terms of having his arm straighter, but all 3 have their own distinct differences. It's very interesting!

I don't doubt that Harris will shop the bargain bins this offseason, but he really should be trading for players. Two I'd target? Geraldo Perdomo and Anthony Volpe.
