Everyone should understand this about the Ukraine war. The primary aggressor was the US-installed Ukraine govt against its own Russian-speaking people.
So here we have this former Russian ambassador explaining how the Donbass war began. There was a coup d’état in Kyiv in 2014, financed by the US. The new installed regime banned the Russian language, and the population of Crimea voted in a referendum for their independence against the ban on their native language. Kyiv then intervened militarily in Donbass in 2014, which triggered the war. The Minsk agreements then followed. Russia finally intervened in 2022 because there was no other solution to protect its compatriots in Donbass, who had been attacked for 8 years.

AUKUS is not merely self-harm to our sovereignty, it makes us culpable for USA's military atrocities - and we pay for the privilege!
My article on AUKUS. AUKUS is about madness, militarism and money. Turning Australia into a US military base, sacrificing our sovereignty, and enriching retired politicians, military and public servants while battlers struggle to put food on the table pearlsandirritations.com/pos…

There is a common narrative that job X or Y is low paid, and needs to be paid better. Well okay. Why isnt it being paid better? In anything approaching a free market economy on a long enough time horizon, wages will rise to a level that ensures demand will be met or productivity will rise so more can be accomplished with less labour. But when you have a massive artificial expansion of the labour force in an age demographic, say 20-30 years of age, its unsurprising that there is now more supply than demand for these roles, suppressing wages growth. Throw in that at the average temporary visa holders are exploited and underpaid according to some studies, why would an unscrupulous business owner pay more When there is a large supply of additional labour, that is heavily exploitable. Its basic supply and demand level economics, and if the current economic strategy worked as advertised, we wouldnt have had near 0% growth in the private sector economy in per capita terms foe the last 14 years.

Australia's immigration agenda is doing exactly what it's meant to. Deliver business a vast sector of disempowered, low wage workers. Well done to LNP, ALP, Greens & Independents- big business thanks you.
Turns out high volume, low skill immigration is a disaster for the working poor.

Are there any more ways Israel is yet to emulate the Holocaust? Israel was founded to ensure "Never Again." Israel can no longer hide behind the mask of victimhood.
I don’t know who will care about what I’m saying, but something very serious has been happening in Gaza for the past few days, and it is happening repeatedly in a deeply frightening way. Late at night, while families are asleep, special forces enter areas where displaced people are gathered and arrest men from among their families, in front of their wives and children, before taking them to unknown locations. This happened yesterday, it happened today, and it has happened in the days before as well. And one question keeps haunting all of us: Why is this happening? Where are they taking these men? What will happen to them? And why are they entering areas where displaced people are staying in the middle of the night and taking men away from their families? No one tells us anything. We don’t know who will be next, whether those detained will ever return to their families, or even what awaits them after they are taken away. This is no longer a single incident that can simply be ignored. It is something happening repeatedly right in front of us, and it seems to be happening more and more. We are living with unanswered questions and a very real fear that one of us could be next, without knowing why or where they will take us.

Bird flu could expose just how little we spend on conservation in Australia and how unprepared we are. We spend 6c out of every $100 in the budget to protect and manage the incredible habitats and species we share this continent with. BREAKING: Israel is burning the forests of Wadi al-Slouqi and Houla in South Lebanon. Not military targets. Forests, valleys, hills and entire ecosystems. This is not only an environmental crime. It is the deliberate erasure of a piece of Lebanon’s natural heritage.
