I’ve tried to avoid this topic but here’s my take.
I understand the intention behind saying pregnancy is not a death sentence, but I find that statement kind of insensitive.
Pregnancy may not be a death sentence for most women, but it can absolutely be for some.
Women actually die from pregnancy related complications…some barely survive it.
Some sustain life-altering complications.
I think we should be careful not to invalidate these experiences in an attempt to make pregnancy sound less scary.
Yeah. And the economy and GDP of California alone is bigger than the entire of Africa.

Let that sink in: one US state has a larger economic output than an entire continent of 54 countries.
Women who are still praying for the fruit of the womb would be pissed at these idiots casually describing pregnancy as a death sentence.
