I've got folks saying,
"If Nintendo would just bring their games to PC, piracy would drop heavily."
1. It's crazy how the industry likes to pretend they don't care about Nintendo games but then turns around and BEGS for them on other platforms, then throws a fit when they don't.
2. This is an absolute lie! How you may ask??
COME HERE SILKSONG🗣️: On the day of this much anticipated game's release, these low-lifes cracked and uploaded the game to pirate sites in approximately 15 MINUTES and is available on every possible platform. THAT GAME LAUNCHED AT $20 thanks to these awesome indie developers
Same goes for Minecraft. A study was done on 1,400 players and revealed that of those surveyed, about 82% were using a cracked/pirated version of the game. With the millions of people that play every day, imagine what that percentage is at scale? Now thankfully, Minecraft is too big to fail but the point still stands.
These are just 2 examples. There's are a wealth more that EASILY disproves this lie lol.
Again, pirates just want free stuff that everyone else has to pay for. There is no noble reason.

Gabe was giving business advice to publishers, not handing out a moral pass because you don't want to buy a console. First-party exclusivity isn’t a broken service, and acting like you're owed games on PC is just pure platform entitlement.
Folks are dumping Switch 2 ROMs on sites that do not want them. You are going to get these websites heavily reprimanded or completely shut down.
If you just want to be scum and get free games, just say you're scum and own it.
Stop dressing up console FOMO as some righteous anti-corporate crusade. It's not.
