“Shhh... it’s okay...” Now outside, he made sure Nova was close by. “Wanna go see some birds at the park?” It shouldnt be too far of a walk and he’s sure Basil needed the distraction

“Hey it’s okay. I’ve got you.” He said softly. He found some paper and wrote down that he’s taking basil for a walk, incase David wonders where they’ve gone. After that, he called nova before heading out the door.

He laughed. “Yeah yeah. I missed you too.” He’s getting bigger- he really should visit more often. “Wanna go for a walk?” Not too far, just a little bit around the block. Why is he talking to the baby like he could answer anyway?? Who knows.

Jason watches David go before smiling at basil and picking him up. “Hey buddy, missed me?” He said softly. He was never good with kids but he loves his nephew.

“What’re brothers for? It’s okay, you do what you need and we’ll keep each other company.”

“I can watch him.” Good brother/uncle time.

He’s late to the party- he’s been away. But he brings a birthday card folded into the shape of an elephant.

He smiled back, letting the dog currently napping on his belly. “Oh y’know. Just chilling.”

He missed her too. He has pillows everywhere, she can just make herself comfortable. “Hi.”
