Congresswoman Ilhan Omar writes in her memoir, “I was eight years old when civil war broke out in Somalia. One day everything was okay, and the next, there were bullets piercing not only buildings but also people.” While Somalia has suffered several civil wars, the chapter is entitled, “War: 1989-1991, Mogadishu, Somalia.” Mogadishu experienced severe riots in July 1989, including a mass execution that became known as the “Jazeera beach massacre.”
If, in her own words in her own autobiography, Omar was eight when this occurred in 1989, then she was born in 1981, and was 19 years old in the year 2000, when her father purportedly obtained his citizenship, not 1982 as she currently claims.

In Minnesota, you often hear, “Vote blue, no matter who.”
But a reasonable question is, "What has voting blue done for you?"
✅ The DFL squandered an $18 billion budget surplus.
✅ The DFL increased the cost of government by 40%.
✅ The DFL looked the other way while fraudsters stole $9 billion of your tax dollars.
✅ The DFL allowed Minnesota schools to deteriorate. Twenty years ago, our schools were the envy of the nation, consistently ranking in the top 10 for test scores and graduation rates. We had the highest ACT scores in the nation. But Minnesota now ranks 21st in the nation for education – and the downward slide continues.
Voting blue has left Minnesota less affordable, less competitive, and falling behind in every economic and educational category. No wonder 65% of Minnesotans say they think the state is on that wrong track.
Now the DFL wants to give us more of the same – or worse – in the form of Amy Klobuchar (Tim Walz 2.0) and Bonnie Westlin-endorsed radical U.S. Senate candidate Peggy Flanagan.
As your State Senator, I will address taxes, government spending, fraud, education and all the core issues that transcend party lines.
