in endgame, thanos only chips the top edge of the shield with his blade. he never snaps it clean down the middle like we saw in tony's vision.
and the creepiest part is what happens the second tony wakes up from wanda's hex: he immediately starts talking about putting "a suit of armor around the world" even if it takes away people's freedom. wanda's chaos magic didn't just show him doctor doom's future, it bled victor's mindset straight into tony's head.

In Age of Ultron, a dying Captain America didn't grab Tony Stark's arm and say "you could have saved us" because Tony failed to stop Thanos. Steve was looking at Doctor Doom.
go back and watch Tony's nightmare from 2015. none of that scene ever happened in Infinity War or Endgame. the Avengers never died together on that rock in space, and Tony was the one who died while Steve lived. Multiverse of Madness confirmed Wanda's chaos magic peers across the multiverse, which means Wanda didn't show Tony his own future. she accidentally made him see through the eyes of the man who shares his face during Avengers Doomsday.
