The first @PhilaUnion goal against @ColumbusCrew back on May 10, from the free kick? I have it as 8 inches offside. Honestly, a _lot_ closer than I expected. Still feel like VAR could have intervened but this info makes it look less obvious than I originally thought.
The offside in El Traffico? That took @LAGalaxy's Gabriel Pec's goal off the board? I have it as 9-10 inches offside. That's with a relatively conservative guess on position of the 2LD, so could be more.
That @NashvilleSC goal line situation? I have it as 3/8" inside the goal. Given the difficulties of the model and esp. goal-line situations, I can't be sure that it was or was not a goal.
OK, so that St. Louis goal against Columbus called back? I have it as 6 inches onside.
I will say that it's harder than it looks b/c 2LD here has his foot off the ground so it isn't as easy as just following the lines in the grass.
As for the previous @OrlandoCitySC and @CharlotteFC offside incident, I have Lodeiro onside by about 2 inches. V close but probably should have counted.
Was Agyemang onside in the @MLS playoff game between @OrlandoCitySC and @CharlotteFC? I have him offside by about 3 feet.
So that @LAFC goal in the @usopencup final? I have Bogusz being offside by about a foot.
Replying to @russpage
For an offense must do one of 3 things after being in an offside position when teammate last touched it
* interfering w/ play
* " " an opponent
* gaining an advantage
Those are more complicated, but the players in offside position here did not reach the level an offense.
