Last week we joined forces with Franklin Heights PTSA, South-Western Council PTA, @OhioPTA and Meta for a special online safety ‘Screen Smart’ workshop for families at Franklin Heights High School in @SWCSD in Columbus, Ohio.
The event featured a panel discussion with teens and adults moderated by National PTA Connected Ambassador Mikki Wilson and provided a forum for both teens and parents to feel heard and seen. Parents and teens also learned about the new Instagram Teen Accounts and other efforts and features from Meta to promote safer experiences on their platforms, and they left the event with tips, resources, insights and guidance to help them confidently approach conversations within their families about healthy age-appropriate habits.
The workshop was an extension of Meta’s Screen Smart event series and part of National PTA’s PTA Connected initiative. PTA.org/ScreenSmart

It doesn't address student safety, religious program curriculum, missed classwork...or anything else
