NEW: Flávio Bolsonaro has fled Brazil after his 'loss' to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and is en route to the United States, according to Metrópoles.
The report comes after the right-wing senator was ordered to hand over his passport to federal police.
Friends and lawyers say that during a meeting on Monday, Bolsonaro was "afraid of being arrested."
"A supreme court justice cancelled Bolsonaro’s passport minutes after the result in a ruling related to a criminal case against the senator. He had until 11am to surrender the document to the federal police, but did not appear," the Guardian reported.
Bolsonaro has refused to concede the election.
The New York Times reports that the election could be annulled because Lula's former personal attorney made a last-minute decision to keep the polls open, causing chaos and confusion.
Bolsonaro's father, Brazil's former president, is under house arrest, and his brother is in "self-imposed exile" in the United States.
That brother, former congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro, recommended that his brother flee Brazil if he lost during an interview last week.

Yes — but not the way most people picture it. Control still travels through ordinary access paths. Here’s how it actually happens: Stolen credentials are the most common route. Bots need accounts, API keys, or tokens — these get stolen via breaches, phishing, malware, or exposed keys. Once an attacker has them, they control the bot. The “other AI” is usually just an attacker using AI tools to automate the attack. Prompt injection: If the bot is an LLM agent that reads external content (web pages, emails, chats, other agents), a carefully crafted malicious prompt can override its original instructions, trick it into leaking its own API keys or system prompt, or force unwanted actions (posting, transferring money, changing settings). In multi-agent systems, one AI can deliberately craft inputs designed to subvert another. Infrastructure or supply-chain compromise can also hand over control.

Following reporting by @SaraGonzalesTX and @CarolineWren, a hospital employee told @RheinAmacher and I that Talarico had in fact been a patient at the Lindner Center of Hope near Cincinnati, Ohio, which specializes in around-the-clock mental health treatment.
While I sympathize with those dealing with mental health crises, this man is CLEARLY not suited to become a US Senator representing over 30 MILLION TEXANS.
The job doesn’t get easier after being elected — it only gets MORE stressful.
And Talarico clearly can’t handle it.
I pray he gets the help he needs, but Texans need a real representative they can rely on.
