BREAKING: In an unprecedented comeback, Brazil's President Lula da Silva has defeated Flavio Bolsonaro, securing a 4th term in office.
Lula is officially the first presidential candidate in Brazil's modern democratic history to lose the first round of voting and go on to win the runoff.
Prior to the election, Lula's implied odds of victory had fallen as low as 10%.
This marks one of the most remarkable political comebacks in Brazil's history.

Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks.
By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time.
Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.

BREAKING: Brazil's election could be annulled, according to the New York Times.
Electoral lawyers say Brazil's current situation is "extremely serious" and a "critical situation."
The NYT reports that confusion over a last-minute voting extension by Justice Cristiano Zanin, who was appointed by Lula, could lead to the election being annulled.
"This is an extremely serious, critical situation," said electoral lawyer Priscilla Sodré Pereira to the New York Times.
When Zanin made the last-minute decision to extend voting hours, some polling stations had already closed and shut down their voting machines. They could not reopen.
"Fernando Neisser, an electoral law professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas, a Brazilian research institute, said the election could be annulled if the margin is very narrow and it is shown that polling stations stayed open longer in areas that strongly favor one candidate," the NYT reported.
Wow.
This might be my last post. I am going to buy ALL of the toilet paper at my local Sams Club tomorrow morning. This is your warning. PREPARE.

“COBOL is still deeply load-bearing in banking, especially at the core: account ledgers, overnight batch processing, and card/ATM authorization. The widely cited estimates are that roughly 43% of banking systems and 95% of ATM swipes run on COBOL code, and that around 80% of in-person banking transactions pass through it.”
Concerning
America is in serious trouble.
The US government now suspects a major cyberattack from Iran could be right around the corner.
Homes. Hospitals. Businesses.
Everything could lose electricity for months during Phase 2 of the war in America.
CISA, the FBI, NSA and the Department of Energy have now issued joint warnings about Iranian attacks against US critical infrastructure.
Military bases are already preparing to survive without electricity, fuel and water for at least 90 days during the war.
Let's say Iran succeeds.
Traffic lights. Gas stations. ATMs.
Everything could stop working.
Drinking water and sewage systems could also be severely affected.
Generators at hospitals could eventually run out of fuel.
Without electricity, hospitals will not be able to keep their backup generators running.
Patients in critical condition could be under severe threat.
The US could also suffer tens of billions of dollars in losses from a major cyberattack.
This is leading to a major bombing campaign against Iran.
Just grabbed one of these for the impending blackouts

Are things about to get really bad?
FORTRESS: The Pentagon is preparing every major U.S. military base to survive 90 days without outside support — no civilian power grid, no global supply chains, no outside fuel or water.
The initiative, revealed in documents reviewed by Fox News Digital, envisions portable nuclear reactors, massive battery storage, and microgrids that can disconnect installations from civilian electricity entirely. Strategic reserves of munitions, fuel, critical minerals, and medical supplies would be stockpiled based on wartime consumption rates. Civilian factories are being pre-identified to shift to defense production during a crisis.
Pentagon chief spokesperson Sean Parnell put it bluntly: "Power is combat now. Without electricity, you lose communications, water, logistics, assembly lines and just basic military command structures."
