💔 Some children in russian-occupied Oleshky were born during the war. They have never known a peaceful life.
Ukrainian National Guard soldiers delivered 15 packages weighing over 600 kg by drone, filled with food, milk, educational games and toys.
Even under occupation, Ukraine has not forgotten its children.

A conversation I will never forget.
He spoke in Ukrainian, we both had ear pieces in with human translators in a room next door, and we translated what he said into English afterwards.
What do you say to your family when you don’t know if you’ll ever see them again?
In February 2022, he told his wife and children the war had begun. Then he left as Russian forces advanced towards Kyiv, unsure what the coming hours would bring.
This is President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Before politics, he built a successful career in Ukrainian television as a writer, producer and performer, even portraying a president on screen. In 2019, he was elected President of Ukraine. Three years later, Russia launched its full-scale invasion.
Sitting down with him was surreal and an enormous responsibility. It was a rare chance to hear his account of the first hours of the war and the decisions that followed.
We discussed things like:
How he found out Russia had invaded.
Why he refused an offer to evacuate Kyiv.
The 64km Russian military convoy advancing towards the capital.
How Russian forces tried to capture a key airport.
His account of discovering hundreds of bodies after Russian occupation.
What he believes it will take to end the war.
But I also wanted to understand how he’d been coping.
One of my first questions was simply, “How are you doing?” His answer was: “It’s hard.”
He spoke about meeting parents whose children had been killed. Some, he explained, simply ask him for a hug.
And as he spoke, there were tears in his eyes.
Whatever your views on the war or the decisions made by those involved, this is a rare opportunity to hear his account of events that have changed millions of lives.
Because behind every map, every headline and every political decision, there are real people.

Le patron de la CIA, John Ratcliffe, travaille à faire l'interface entre un Donald Trump qui méprise Zelensky et une Ukraine qui dépend de Washington.
On apprend notamment dans cet article que "même si la rhétorique de Trump ne le laisse pas deviner, les opérations de la CIA sont désormais « bien plus agressives » qu’elles ne l’étaient sous l’administration Biden."
Plus d'une douzaine de sources ont confirmé à l'auteur que, même si Ratcliffe est un fidèle de Trump, il a un regard "lucide quant à la menace que représente la Russie non seulement pour l'Ukraine, mais aussi pour les États-Unis et leurs alliés."
Paradoxalement, l'efficacité de la CIA sous Ratcliffe dans le soutien à l'Ukraine en arrive à ennuyer le président Trump : "Le succès de la CIA en Ukraine est devenu un problème — du moins du point de vue de Trump. Les attaques incessantes contre les raffineries de pétrole russes ont paralysé l'économie de ce pays et étouffé la machine de guerre de Poutine."
En septembre dernier, lors de sa visite à Moscou, Ratcliffe a tenté de convaincre les Russes que cette guerre était un cul de sac. Il a ensuite briefé le président Zelensky.
Mais si les Ukrainiens semblent conscients de cette situation, Moscou persiste. Et Trump, lui, appuie la Russie.
Cet effort de la CIA et de son patron cache pourtant une réalité plus inquiétante pour le renseignement américain : ils sont nombreux à ne pas vouloir servir une administration dont ils sont convaincus qu'elle nuit aux intérêts des Etats-Unis :
"Bien que la CIA ne communique pas de chiffres concernant ses effectifs, des agents actuels et anciens m’ont confié n’avoir jamais connu, au cours de leur carrière, un nombre aussi élevé de départs à la retraite et de démissions. Certains sont même partis alors qu’ils étaient sur le point d’obtenir une promotion importante. Les postes à responsabilité laissés vacants pourraient devoir être pourvus par des agents moins expérimentés."

Right now - tens of thousands of people are rallying peacefully in Tel Aviv ahead of elections Tuesday that most Israelis are calling existential.
They say they are rallying in for unity, in favor the opposition, against Netanyahu and his government and demanding a commission of inquiry into the failures of the October 7th massacre.
There is more energy and less rage than I've seen in a while here.
