DAMNN THEY ATE WITH THIS ONE — “And judging by the number of people already buying tickets, the rest of the industry has some catching up to do.” “What makes this extraordinary is that BTS are operating at this scale as a Korean-language pop group in an industry that once insisted international artists needed to adapt themselves to Western audiences to achieve comparable success. BTS have demonstrated that audiences are perfectly capable of crossing linguistic and cultural boundaries when the music, performances and personalities offer something they want. The industry’s assumptions changed because the audience changed them first. There’s also a distinction between becoming famous and sustaining fame. A song can dominate the charts for a few weeks. A viral video can reach hundreds of millions of people. But building a global audience willing to fill stadiums across multiple continents requires something much more durable. BTS have managed to turn the anticipation surrounding their return into real-world demand on a scale that only a small number of touring acts can approach.” thatericalper.com/2026/10/25…

“For decades, the stadium circuit operated according to a fairly predictable formula. English-language rock bands, American pop superstars and a handful of legacy acts got the biggest rooms. BTS have made that thinking look positively prehistoric. They’ve already become the first Korean group to headline concerts at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore and Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. These aren’t intimate theatres where a devoted niche audience can create the illusion of an enormous phenomenon. These are the buildings normally reserved for football games and the biggest names in entertainment. BTS are selling them out because the audience is actually there.”
