Before investing in tokenized real estate, understand how you can exit.
Is there an active secondary market? Who provides the bids? Does liquidity depend on the platform buying tokens back?
These are very different arrangements, with different risks for investors. 👇
Everyone talks about RWA liquidity. But who is on the other side of the exit?
A token can change hands in seconds. A sale still needs a cash buyer.
A BIS working paper found that the liquidity advantage in tokenized real estate depended on platform buybacks.
Those buybacks gave sellers an exit, but came with higher insolvency risk for the platform.
Tokenization can make an asset transferable. It can’t manufacture a buyer.

A closer look at what we’re building.
Tokenization can change how real-world assets are represented and transferred. The harder work is building the structure around them so ownership can hold up over time.
That’s the foundation behind OneAsset.
Built for real ownership.

China is pushing property developers to wait longer for buyers’ money.
That changes working capital, leverage and cash flow before anything about the building itself changes.
A useful reminder in real estate: the asset is only part of the investment. How it’s financed can rewrite the economics.

Cut a weak asset into 10,000 pieces and you still have 10,000 pieces of a weak asset.
Fractionalization ≠ liquidity.
For a tokenized asset to become truly investable, 4 layers need to work: rights, infrastructure, settlement, and what happens after issuance.

Singapore has built much of the institutional stack for tokenization.
For commercial real estate, the next test is asset quality.
Office. Logistics. Data centers.
We looked at what makes each one tokenization-ready.

Finance is moving through 3 eras.
1. Record-based finance: Assets were ledger entries inside institutions. Trusted, but slow, manual, and siloed.
2. Onchain / programmable finance: Assets could carry their own rules, settle faster, and connect more directly. The rails improved. The missing piece was quality assets.
3. Machine-executable finance: Software is starting to transact on its own. Real, early, and still far from allocating into assets like property at scale.
The important thing is this: each era doesn’t replace the last. It raises the bar for what a well-built asset has to be.

If you could tokenize ONE thing that isn’t tokenized yet, what would it be?

The real unlock is making assets usable inside financial workflows.
Liquidity before the underlying redemption fully settles is a good example of what that starts to look like in practice.
Tokenized funds are getting a crypto-speed upgrade.
A new integration from @Centrifuge and @Symbioticfi gives eligible tokenized fund holders access to immediate USDC liquidity, while the underlying redemption settles in parallel.
Could this help unlock RWAs for DeFi?

DTCC is starting with large-cap US equities, Treasuries and ETFs.
Clearstream is taking a different route: bonds, money-market funds and structured products first.
The difference matters.
Tokenization is not one technical migration path. Different assets carry different lifecycle complexity: cash flows, ownership records, transfer restrictions, valuation and legal claims.
The harder the asset is to represent faithfully, the harder it is to bring onchain.
Tokenization difficulty is determined by the asset, not the blockchain.
