As the season winds down, and Coaches as well begin losing their jobs. Before cheering for your favorite team to farther Coach consider something gets lost in those discussions. People forget one man is not losing his job, instead it is a whole staff individuals who will likely need a new place of employment but each of them knew that was part of the job when they signed up Then you have the wife who knew that was part of this relationship, but still held the family together all season long and now has to leave her job, and the community that she formed And then there’s the kids of each of the staff members. They did not choose to be born into a family, where dad is a coach, and where they are forced to leave their friends, their school, their youth group, and their extracurricular activities and have to start all over again.

As the season winds down, we are looking for nominations for the Marcia Zierlein Coach of the Year award! The nomination form is on our website. This year’s winner will be the keynote presenter at the 2027 Lonestar Clinic in Waco, June 11-12! @LanceZierlein @txhsfbchat

When the D-end jumps the screen, the QB doesn't panic. He just runs the zone 🏈 With the now screen taken away, inside zone becomes his outlet, and it plays like a zone read. Find a crease and make something happen. #football #Lonestar #QB #fyp
