My experience watching Trump "negotiate" with Kim Jong Un was: Kim never offered to disarm, Pompeo would wishcast disarmament, lots of media would amplify, a couple of summits happened, but no deal emerged ... leaving Kim stronger than before. Maybe this time is different.
I have said from the beginning of this farce that Kim is not offering to disarm North Korea. Insisting on disarmament as a condition for peace ensures the process will fail. The summits are not sincere efforts to make peace with North Korea as it is.

An airstike on a car in Babel Province, Iraq, killed the senior Kataeb Hezbollah commander Abu Hasan al-Fraiji. He was also a commander within the Popular Mobilization Forces, killed in a PMF car, received a state salary, while taking orders from Iran to target Iraqi Kurdistan
The reality is, Iran cannot achieve nuclear breakout without improving its ability to resist this kind of warfare. It will need time to rebuild its bunker system, and then will need to maintain stability through a weapons testing period. These were once just about doable. Now? 🤷
Saudi Arabia had repeatedly seen drone and missile impacts from yemeni forces prior to October 7, and Israel may not have seen as strong a test of its missile defence network as it is seeing now, but that network had been penetrated in minor ways in various other confrontations.
I think it is misleading to frame the (now somewhat hobbled) Iranian nuclear programme in that period as being intended to have purely deterrent qualities. It is more that they attempted to use it as a credit card- using the promise of "expending" it to get diplomatic outcomes.
