I shared this post in Discord last week and here's some quick background as to why. The world of trading is extremely cutthroat and the success rate itself is already extremely low. With all the constant larp and get rich quick schemes you see on social media, many innocent and good-hearted people fall into the trap of thinking they can just dive head-first into the markets and start extracting money from it like it's a money tree. This is the most DANGEROUS trap that everyone falls into. I have literally had people in my DMs, showing me 7 figure losses, and people that liquidated their assets or businesses to go into full-time trading trusting their favorite furu to be their teacher/mentor to guide them. They end up coming to me or @SkylitAI with deep regrets asking how they can climb out of the hole. In trading, the deeper the hole you dig, the more difficult it becomes to get out of it. This is purely due to psychology and emotion. The way to give yourself the best chance is to NOT dig yourself a deep hole during the initial learning period. First you learn, then you earn. This is IMO where prop firms are great. If you were a gambler to begin with, then sure, you will probably just blow a fuck ton of evals and still end up broke, but there are genuinely good people, with great intent, that treat the stock market like a university, where they need to and want to truly learn the ropes. The way I teach people to trade on props is to treat the Max DD as the 'TRUE' account size. E.G. if your Max DD of the plan is $6K, your portfolio size is not $50K, it's $6K. People constantly blow evals if they are trading a $50K account as if their portfolio balance is $50K. This is a paradigm shift, where if you get it down, then it actually becomes a very powerful learning vehicle where you also have the opportunity to extract $$$ via payouts to fund an actual live account. Many claim that @OptionsFunding_ is a scam, or that they are illegitimate, but we made this decision based on feedback from our community members (many of whom have received payouts from them already). If it does turn out there's any funny business, then we will be sure to take action. I'll be the last furu on X that encourages people to skip the learning process and dive straight into trading their own capital.
