Avoiding starting a war, from sheer irritation would be lovely; does horrendous things to traffic.
⠀⠀
Casting her gaze back, Subiean caught the end tail of his glare; she knew what she said. She knew what weight it would place, and for good measure; slowing her steps does she find a rhythm with him.
“ Bit difficult to please everyone, a life lesson you should learn.”⇣
First, the redhead pushed herself into his space, then she’d fussed over his jacket, and 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣, almost as if she was adding insult to injury, she’d run her fingers through his disheveled, messy raven black hair to quell its disheveled appearance. Under normal circumstances, Butcher would have immediately retaliated against 𝙖𝙡𝙡 of that.
Of course, this 𝙬𝙖𝙨𝙣'𝙩 under any normal circumstances. They were at 𝙑𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩—one of, if not the most corrupt companies to ever exist—and they needed to get out of there 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 raising any kind of suspicion. A low growl escaped past his lips as he felt himself getting pushed out into the hallway, stumbling slightly before he quickly managed to catch himself, regaining his bearings.
The way she’d made the remark about needing him alive because she needed the files he carried with him made it seem as though that was the only reason for it. She’d need him alive 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 of whether or not she eventually managed to get the files from him—which wasn’t going to be happening any time soon. At least, not until some actual 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙩 could be built up between them.
Watching her carefully and closely, his dark hazel gaze narrowed into a bit of a glare in her direction, though he cleared his throat and shook his head, forcing a bit of a grin across his lips. “Yeah, well…” There was a light shoulder shrug as he quickly started following after her. “Ya know me. Can’t seem t’ please 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚.”
⠀⠀
None of it brought any peace, while still trapped in the building; calmly she reached into her coat pocket making a show of being exhausted.
A low yawn, and well placed stagger; car keys appeared in her hand. With the sheer pain in her step, driving wouldn’t be an option.⇣
⠀⠀
Subiean stood still for a moment at his answer, she had hoped it would bring more comfort but it did not; her features sealed themselves behind years of built up masks.
She supposed from the man’s general demeanor, that this held some amusing qualities. ⇣
Could she assume and trust that he wouldn’t hesitate with any kind of violence if or when it ever became necessary? 𝙊𝙛 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚. Butcher wasn’t the kind of man who would hesitate when it came to violence—𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 when the situation called for it. Hell, violence was one of his specialties—to the point where it had become almost like a second nature for the raven haired Brit.
The smirk widened slightly across his lips as his dark hazel gaze shifted toward the redhead for a few moments. “Considerin’ the fact that I 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙖 ‘esitate when it comes t’ 𝙖𝙣𝙮 kind o’ violence? Yeah, I’d say ya 𝙘𝙖𝙣." Came the swift response before his dark eyebrows furrowed slightly as he watched what she was doing.
𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙗𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙙.
Which meant improvisation would likely have to be done on the spot. Provided they were good enough to fool everyone around them, they 𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 stand a chance of getting out of there before it was too late. “Good thing I’m 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩 at that sort o’ thing.”
As far as he said as concerned, it was the truth in every sense of the word. Hell, his improvisation skills had saved his and his team’s lives on 𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙚 occasions. Plus, it helped that he could think of random stuff within a matter of 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙨.
Glancing around, the smirk never faltered as he reached out and grabbed a fake ID, tilting his head slightly as he watched her carefully and closely. “𝙒𝙝𝙮?”
⠀⠀
for Subiean to step out, her expression quickly changed barking in a gentler tone. “ Mr. Morn you’ve already made us late already, now come along.”
Stringing with confidence past Butcher, her hand patting his chest that shined the ID badge; to which she got the name. ⇣
⠀⠀
Subiean stood there for a moment, unmoving under his pensive gaze before she spoke.
“ Does staring often lead you, to getting what you what Monsieur?”
Her tone curious, though not without its weary strain.

Subiean held her gaze, icy hues daring never to break as the woman treated gravity like a jump rope to be toyed with; people’s soft utterances as they watch carefully.
“ Something tells me dear lady, you are a woman who is terribly fond of dramatics.” ⇣
Replying to @salaciousintent
anxious ear within reach. Amused by the tension she’d stirred, Irene rocked herself idly on the railing, arching her back like a languid cat before letting herself swing forward again, entirely unbothered by the drop beneath her.
⠀⠀
Her words laced with amusement, taking liberties to climb the very drainage pole that met near Irene’s balcony; pushing her frame to the railing.
Once comfortably sat, Subiean’s grin widens hand coming just to cradle the woman’s neck; drawing her back to safety. ⇣
⠀⠀
The redhead paused, breathing slightly labored under her face covering; icy hues linger on that grin..that smirk..the sheer confidence that oozed from Butcher.
For a moment her palms turn clammy, breathing shuddered with anticipation; as her senses demanded calmness. ⇣
As far as Butcher was concerned, Vought had 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 truly cared about anyone other than themselves—and making sure their Supes looked absolutely 𝙛𝙡𝙖𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨. That, and there was also the fact that they seemed to care about how much 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙮 they were getting every month—which wasn’t really all that surprising.
Sure, he 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 be wrong about that belief—but getting him to change his mind about—let alone admit—it would be an impossible task. How much longer would their luck last? With any luck, it would allow them to slip out of the building completely undetected.
There was a slight scoff at her remark about his team. Boy band of outlaws? That was certainly a new way to describe them—despite the fact that Kimiko wasn’t a male. Most of the time, it wouldn’t surprise him if the rest of the team secretly 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 him to be gone for good—despite the fact that they knew he was a vital member of the team, right alongside them.
Upon hearing her statement—which didn’t sound very promising—his dark hazel gaze shifted toward her for a few moments. Judging from the way she’d said it, he’d already figured that their luck 𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 have just run out.
𝙁𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙡.
The movement in her leg hadn’t gone completely unnoticed—though now was likely not exactly the best time to make any comments on it. The wolfish grin turned into a bit of a smirk as he quickly followed after her, moving to press himself against another wall for a few moments.
“Can’t ‘ave 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 ‘appenin’, now can we?” Came the rather swift response before he glanced around the corner, letting out a muttered curse. Slowly, he nodded at her question, the smirk widening slightly. “Naturally.”
⠀⠀
“ Creativity may be involved, how frankly good are you with improvisation?” She questioned, glancing about she managed to grab a lab coat; stripping her vest she could get a new one.
Pulling off her mask to contain her red curls to a high ponytail, the appearance ⇣
