I absolutely love @Delta’s mobile app but it’s proof that even great apps have issues and need #UX ppl. I have plane tickets booked and I’ve been waiting for a big sale on upgrades. Last night was the night and I pounced. I clicked to purchase, picked the new seats and… 🧵

I’m now yelling at no one and taking notes because I know I’m going to rant about this online. In switching to my notes app I notice I have a text. My phone was on DND so I had missed it. It’s my credit card letting me know of suspected fraud with Delta. They declined my card…

I go through all the “it’s not fraud” steps and try delta again. It seems to work. I get an email receipt. Also get a 2nd text saying I need to call Delta or it may get declined again. All this because you can’t add a new credit card in a checkout flow when you have saved cards

I got a dream job offer that I had to turn down because they revoked remote work and said I’d have to move to SF. (nope) The day I declined it a friend was helping rescue a dog. The dog seemed sad and I was sad. So now I’m proud a dog mom instead of a proud FAANG #UXR (winning)

+1 to this article. I’ve been living on subflooring without a kitchen for 8+ months because of @Homesite lowballing water damage repairs. I had 3 repair bids, all over $100k. An adjuster approved the full scope. But SOMEHOW material quality got downgraded so they could pay $40k
Exclusive: In the wake of Hurricane Ian, regional insurance companies have limited payouts to policyholders by altering the work of adjusters that assess damaged homes, The Post found. As a result, homeowners are left footing much of the bill for repairs. wapo.st/3ZGDgrl

They’ll also demand the right to inspect your house and will send you threatening letters until you get their inspection no matter how many times you tell them the work hasn’t started because YOU HAVE NOT BEEN PAID

While you’re at stress level 11, microwaving Mac n cheese 5/7 days a week, take some meds and practice your Happy Voice with everyone. Because the moment you come off like any of this bothers you, you will be hung up on and no one will call you back
