Robert Redford's passing (Gene Hackman's too) braces us for the end of a great era. Consider: Clint Eastwood is 95 Robert Duvall is 94 Jack Nicholson is 88 Warren Beatty is 88 Dustin Hoffman is 88 Jane Fonda is 87 Al Pacino is 85 Faye Dunaway is 84 Robert DeNiro is 82 *Sigh*

Nooooo. William Shatner and George Takei are the only ones left. The end of an era is at hand, and it's terribly sad. RIP, Mr. Koenig. What an adventure you got to be a major part of!

Very smart not to stick 2022 in there.

Here’s the play where a RB was called for a personal foul. Insane.

Good Lord. Cam Skattebo just BARRELLED OVER a player in the Giants-Texans game and they called him for a personal foul for lowering his head. What are we doing here? Penalty just shifted field position/momentum completely. Bullshit, weak stuff.

Missed the USC game today because of work. Sounds like Riley delivered yet another road stinker. Pretty clear now, he’s just not cut out for this gig. You have to be better than this after 5 years. Thought he was a great hire. I was wrong. Tonight is just added evidence.

Was part of that great ensemble in ALIEN (1979) and did great work over so many decades. He'll be missed. RIP.

This has to be in the discussion…

#1 Georgia lost, #5 Indiana lost, #6 Alabama lost, #7 Texas lost, and #13 Missouri lost, so I naturally expect idle USC to drop several spots in the next AP poll.

Love this video because it starts out with Elijah Newby, a kid from Connecticut who came all the way across the country to play here, a 4-star who hasn’t had the easiest path due to injuries, firing the team up. PS - Elijah had a big game and his arrow is pointed WAY up. ✌️

USC has 6 players this season who have double-digit receptions. The top 3 are true freshmen: Kaden Dixon-Wyatt (27), Trent Mosley (22), and Mark Bowman (21). Two other true frosh - Boobie Feaster & Tron Baker - have 8 apiece. Half of USC's Top 10 receivers are freshmen.

Fact check here: Mosley has 100+ *total* yards in each of his 4 college games so far. 100+ receiving against all but Louisiana, whom he ripped off an 86-yd punt return TD against.

Awesome flex

It says a lot about a departed player that he is so warmly greeted after a tough loss. Literally every Nittany Lion is waiting to hug Fisher, and there are smiles everywhere. USC clearly got a good guy when he joined their roster.

Over who, Elijah Paige? Vlad did fine today but Paige was definitely missed. Dyakonov is the LT of the future. Keenyi Pepe the RT of the future. Their time will come.

Props to Vlad Dyakonov, starting his 1st college game…on the road in the whiteout game at Penn St?? At left tackle? Don’t do me any favors, coach! Great job by Vlad, who had some shaky moments but seemed to settle in as the game went on. No penalties, clean game. Fight On!

Hey…good win for the Trojans. Penn St is obviously having a down year, but we’ve seen USC lose these stupid games before. They made some plays, Maiava was mostly terrific, the WR’s were great, and the D showed some mettle when it counted. I choose to be happy about this. ✌️

Lincoln Riley celebrating big-time on the sidelines as USC cinches the win with that penalty. That’s a guy feeling the pressure getting a win he absolutely had to have. But it’s also nice for the players to see their HC so fired up. Some emotion and passion is much-needed.

Great blocks by Ashcraft and Tron Baker on that big King Miller run (that ended up out of bounds - yikes - but the clock is still running?)

Great play by Christian Pierce to punch that ball out. CAUTION - there are 4 minutes left in this game, Trojans need to be smart here and play ball.
