A brilliant school full of fantastic children. Barrow-In-Furness, Cumbria. UK

Joined January 2014
Since her visit, most of year 5 are slightly obsessed with @JenniferKillick . These children have made some waspish claws… they were waiting for me as I got to school, unsettling.

TEACHERS According to @artfund pupils from less privileged backgrounds are much less likely to visit museums. I first went to our museum on a school trip. Teachers have the power to open the cabinet of wonders so ... I'll buy #TeacherArtPasses. for 2 teachers who RT this.

Proud of our brilliant children.
PCSO 5276 and PS 363 attended Ormsgill School this afternoon to present the new Mini Police officers from Year 5 and 6 their uniform and ID badges. All the Mini Police officers are excited to start their role in helping the community and keep others safe. #MiniPolice #Community

A thought for the new academic year. What's the most important thing you can help kids to do? Get good test scores? No, it turns out READING FOR PLEASURE has the biggest impact on children's life chances. Help them fall in love with books, and you'll change their lives forever.

Ten years ago, I left my teaching job with a head full of stories. Six books, countless numbers of visits & children later, I’ve had the best journey ever promoting reading for pleasure & creativity in writing. Huge thanks to those who’ve backed me👏 Bring on the next ten📚✍️👍

Year 4 enjoyed a session with @dom_conlon at Ormsgill School’s @Ormsgill_School Literacy Festival today. Kaden found a willing audience for his space facts!
