It's a good time to restate: Trump CANNOT and DOES NOT see beyond himself. He is NOT strategic - he is transactional. He is a walking talking "id." He only pivots from self-interest, and cannot shut up or stop, even when it serves his interest. He is a dangerous malignant narcissist, who is returning to power during cognitive decline, OWNED by disorders.

One down, two to go.
The next week (and change) could very possibly see another Bolsonaro lose in Brazil, Netanyahu and his far-right contingent ousted in Israel, and Republicans lose majority control in the US House and the US Senate.

It's now official! If Trump wants to visit his buddy Jair Bolsonaro, he will have to do it in a Brazilian prison.

BREAKING: I haven't seen them call it yet, but Brazil’s President Lula da Silva looks like he will win reelection, defeating Trump ally Flávio Bolsonaro. This would be great.

He's up by over 3M votes. He needs 50% and has 51.6%. Over 92% counted. I think it's over.

If you follow me, you know I keep repeating the words "focus" and "perspective". And I keep advising those who feel anxiety and outrage to do the things you do to keep sane and happy, relatively speaking. Well, it's Sunday - here's my update: 1. Everyone seems focused. That's great! 2. Almost everyone is maintaining perspective. That's also great! 3. Early voting is off the charts. 4. Dems are poised to slay in the House. 5. I don't want to be overconfident on the Senate, but we're holding our seats and I think this includes Mich, NC is a flip, Ohio is a flip, Alaska is a likely flip, and we just need Maine or Texas with the outside shot of Iowa and the maybe-not-that-outside shot of Kansas. 6. Every day, the Trump machine sticks more feet in their collective gullets. People don't like being talked to like they're idiots, and a lot of those that were ok with that in 2024, are not ok with it now. So - the trend keeps going. 7. And the good news and the punchline of this post, is that - for those still wrestling with anxiety and outrage who don't want to be confident because they think they'll jinx it, you're free to fret. I was just confident FOR you, so ... carry on and enjoy your Sunday.

This is an ACTUAL data guru on the Right who ISN'T talking crap to prevent depression or seed the market for a challenge. Read her post carefully. She says the early vote data is depressing for the GOP, so much so that she feels she can’t share it less they stay home.
I've been asked about early voting analysis. The dilemma I have is that my platform is big enough such that being too blunt can have an effect on morale. I'll push out new states and tools out to my website soon, but won't announce them here on 𝕏. I will be giving @realJeremyCarl my predictions a week in advance so he can hold me accountable after Election Day. You MUST turn out and bring their friends, and brace yourself on election night. Even TX is going to be a fight.

The penchant of RW influencers to do flawed early vote analysis here on X is hurting my brain. I'm no pollster, but one thing that can't be ascertained from early voting from D and R is - Independents or Unaffiliated. This is THE group behaving in a Pro-D way, significantly. Second, they can't ascertain how many Rs are flipping D versus how many Ds are flipping R. Most of what I read here seems to be a concerted and coordinated effort by influential RW accounts to present a rosy picture so as to thwart any tendency of their emotional and easily depressed voters from feeling dejected and staying home.

Good morning. The air is cooler. My dog is a good boy. Yesterday, we were reminded of sanity and decency. Did it feel good? It sure did for me. Obama, a true leader, showed it to us, big time. And then Ossoff, likely to be a future leader, spoke to it, articulately. It was refreshing. Because we're so sick of the opposite. Sociologists will speak to what wannabe authoritarian governments do - induce outrage through the chaotic control of events, in an effort to induce apathy and eventually, futility. If you look at the early voting numbers, America appears to be resisting this in a big way. Psychologists will speak to behavioral disorders - narcissism, sociopathy, paranoia - which, when normalized and amplified, can infect and addict susceptible segments of our electorate collectively, because they're told to feel rather than think, to believe rather than know, and to fear rather than embrace. And again, if you look at the early voting numbers, and the Cook Report shifts, and the prediction markets, more of America appears to be resisting dopamine addiction now than in 2024. To take it outside sociology and psychology into good old-fashioned humanity, it's the return of sanity and decency. Information without lies and hyperbole. Communication without politicization. The return of empathy. And compassion. Wannabe authoritarian governments hate empathy and compassion. Disordered individuals with Custer B conditions can't even feel empathy and compassion. You want to hear something odd? I am strangely grateful that Trump has so badly overreached and is so clearly unable to pivot. And I am so grateful that Republicans put their cravenness out there for all to see, choosing power for the sake of power in everyone's face, and then calling that "winning." Look at how unappealing and goofy they are. Listen to their cartoonish talking points. Feel their desperation. Their downfall and Trump's come-uppance is going to be extra glorious, because so much of it is self-inflicted. And that's going to allow us to better un-addict people to insanity and indecency. And maybe they'll stop choosing authoritarianism over democracy. And maybe they'll stop listening to the lies of narcissists and sociopaths. Focus and perspective. Sanity and decency. THIS is what's on the ballot. Have a nice day!

This is a fascinating post from a year ago, check it out.
I live in a small MAGA town. I know MAGA people. I drink with them. I talk to them. I study them. They’re not the loud Twitter yappers, at least most of them. They’re quieter. Slower. But the delusion runs deep, just bottled up in passive smiles and soft voices. A few weeks ago, one of them tried to convert me at a bar. He knew I wasn’t into the Trump cult, but he started soft. Calm voice. Friendly tone. “Mario, you’re white. You can drink a lot, you eat meat, “he was just surprised that I was eating rare burger” and drinking vodka chasing it with Guinness. He also said, “You’re one of us. You should feel proud.” That’s their seduction tactic. Not facts. Not logic. Just subtle tribal grooming. “You’re white. You drink. You belong.” It was almost sweet, in a sad, culty way. Like a Jehovah’s Witness trying to sell you eternal life with a shaky brochure and cheap suit. But let’s talk about the whole ecosystem. The truth. MAGA men? Most are not warriors. They’re out-of-shape, insecure, jealous small-town boys who peaked in high school, still clinging to stories from when they “almost went pro” or “should’ve been in the military.” They’re proud of being able to drink a case of light beer, drive a truck, and scream about freedom while their knees buckle from sugar and rage. They’re easy to manipulate because they don’t ask questions. They don’t read. They react. They memorize memes like scripture and repeat them like gospel. They think being loud equals being right. They think the world is laughing with them. It’s not. The world’s laughing at them, when it’s not just ignoring them entirely. MAGA women? They’re caught in a brutal paradox, constantly screaming about how proud and strong they are, while reshaping every inch of their body to meet a fake beauty standard pushed by the very system they claim to hate. Plastic lips. Inflated cheeks. Eyelashes thick as windshield wipers. Trying to look rich while shopping clearance at Walmart. They scream about “natural family values” while injecting Botox and collapsing into MLM scams that promise empowerment through overpriced lipstick. They mock liberals for being “gender confused” while wearing more synthetic parts than a Barbie made in a Russian factory. Here’s the thing: MAGA America isn’t just backward. It’s boring. MAGA folks are simply subsimple. There’s nothing imaginative about it. No new culture. No innovation. No ideas. They don’t invent, they imitate. They don’t challenge, they chant. It’s the same five phrases over and over. The same flag. The same truck. The same outfit. Patriot cosplay. And that’s why the world doesn’t just hate MAGA. It forgets it. Because once the shouting stops, there’s nothing under the hood. Just cheap beer breath, fake smiles, and a belief that whiteness and loudness are still enough to matter. You want the brutal truth? Even without Trump, even without the cult, most of them would still be irrelevant. Not because they’re evil. But because they chose comfort over growth. Tribalism over truth. Imitation over imagination. They don’t want to understand the world. They want the world to stay small enough to understand them. And that’s the saddest, most humiliating part.

Obama was in good form today. He described Trump 2.0 as “two years of chaos and cruelty and corruption,” which was marked by “incompetence the likes of which we have not seen in modern times.” He chided Trump for all the gold in the WH, likening it to what decor would be like if Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory. And he was especially strong against Ramaswamy and his "lack of decency" and "low standards" trying to "rescue his failing campaign, which won't work." The crowd loved it. And so did I.

My dog Copper wants me to go off social media now and take him for a long walk because the Dems are almost a lock to take both Houses of Congress. Is he working me for the walk, or does he know something?

Trump claims his real approval rating is 60 percent and the polls are fake. Shallow State claims Trump's real IQ is 60 and his hair is fake. His average approval rating is now 33, less than his number of felony convictions.

This is the last time we will ever vote to hold Trump accountable. He's lived without consequences his entire freakin life. He cheated on every wife, cheated on his taxes, cheated to get out of serving, cheated to get into school, screwed every contractor, employee, coworker, investor, bank, follower, and friend, spent years partying with the world's biggest pedophile, gave pentagon contracts to his sons, took a plane as a bribe, and made $2 billion as president by turning us into an ATM... He is a human crime factory.... He is what Al Capone and Bernie Madoff dreamt about... And yet... He's never stepped foot inside a prison cell. This is our last chance to shove justice in his fat face. Shit floats, but not above the law. Don't let him get away with it. Vote.

I'm watching Obama and I'm thinking - Look! A real president! On TV! Speaking to ALL the country - about values, history, courage, sacrifice, allies, and commitment to Democracy. He is frank, forceful, articulate, truthful. No spin, no digression, no hyperbole, no bribes, no self-aggrandizement. Just communication filled with information. In a spirit of unity, urgency, hope, and togetherness. Honesty and truth. Leadership. I miss them so much.

Vivek Ramaswamy, arguably the most obnoxious person in this election (and possibly the whole planet), now seems to be pulling the ad that featured Amy Acton's deeply disordered mother. He is doing it quietly, without a lick of contrition, because contrition in the GOP is not allowed. Acton wins easily now. And Ramaswamy's odiousness will clinch victory for Sherrod Brown as well.
