The first vehicles have crossed the Fitzroy River on our temporary low-level crossing.
At this stage, the crossing is only open to four-wheel-drives only. Access may be expanded to heavier vehicles pending ongoing conditions on the ground.

The Newell Highway at Narrabri is closed in both directions due to flooding. Diversion for light vehicles and B-doubles, Coonabarabran to Tamworth via Gunnedah, then New England Hwy to QLD. For B-triples and road trains diversion is Gilgandra to Walget to QLD, via Castlereagh Hwy
