ALT An illumination from a 15th ctry _vade medum_ depicting the three kings journeying on horseback with an entourage from a city, through woods and past pigs on pannage (perhaps to give a conference paper?). The foliage of the trees is picked out in a pale green, and the crowns are gilded, but otherwise the image is largely outlined on the MS folio. This is Oxford, Bodleian, MS. Douce 18, fol 10v., used under CC-BY-NC 4.0, Photo: © Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford.

ALT A group of travelers receive direction in a medalion from a 13th/14th century geneaology of the kings of England. The figure on the left is holding a staff on his left sholder, that is cloaked in a pale blue mantle, pointing the way (to the right) for the crowd who look at him, whilst pointing in the same direction. They are wearing mantles of pale red and blue.

ALT The text reads ' OMGC 2023. Save the Date! Online and in Oxford, 20th - 21st April, 2023 ', and is overlaid on a manuscript, a 15th century preist's vade medum, Bodleian Library MS. Douce 18, f. 44 v. This folio is the calendar page for April. Around the table of dates, in a Gothic hand in black, red and some capitals in blue, there is botanical decoration, in gold greens and blues.
