Today, we kick off the two-day National Public Health Emergency Fund (NPHEF) Statutory Instrument Workshop in Lilayi, Lusaka! Stakeholders from government, public health institutions, and development partners, including AFIDEP, have gathered to strengthen Zambia’s public health emergency financing and governance frameworks.
Through its Financing Surveillance and Pandemics Preparedness and Response (PPR) initiative, AFIDEP is generating evidence to enhance sustainable health security financing. Inadequate health investments and inefficiencies remain major challenges across Africa, and this workshop is a key step in aligning Zambia’s strategies with continental commitments like the Abuja and ALM Declarations.
