Got a REALLY special surprise retirement gift yesterday...
One of my favorite memories of my years as #PA4CBJ for the @BlueJacketsNHL was my Grandpa Dave getting to come see me do my thing. He was 96, Grandma had just passed and it would be his last Thanksgiving. We had 24 for Thanksgiving dinner, he and I napped side by side on the couch and I thought he may even grab a few winks at the game that Saturday night game.
But he stayed awake and even made an appearance on the "Rink Report" with @MikeTodd614 and me.
Yesterday, I got this from my aunt Laura - the "first game" taped puck I gave Grandpa and the shirt he wore that night 16 years ago.
