Heard this the last two nights (last night drifting about quite a bit) on 850 khz. I think it's Peru but not sure if Pachamama or Corporacion Famicarr. If anyone can help? Any thoughts on the musical style / talk welcome.

For a driver, it’s just an ordinary number.
For a MWDXer, it’s a completely different story… 😎📻

I added a feature to my weblog, that extracts SNR measurements from the PI4VNW webSDR every hour. Clearly the SNR fluctuates when D-layer absorption appears and disappears. #hamradio

I deployed it to feed a 2x 14m inverted V doublet through about 10m 300 Ohm open line. Because this is a asymmetric tuner, I inserted a 1:1 tuner balun built on two stacked FT240-43 toroids. #hamradio

I guess MFJ left a void when production of the MFF-994BRT QRO remote tuner ceased. DX-World Electronics now offers a 1200W remote tuner that can be controlled via web interface. #hamradio

I wrote an article on this FT8AF app.

I downloaded the FT8AT app for my Android phone and connected my FTDX10 with the USB port. Setup took 15 seconds and I went live. Great for portable use.

mAT has a new 1500W remote auto tuner: mAT-1500R. I assume it's their 1500 ProII tuner put into a weatherproof box. Anyone like to share their experience with that 1500 ProII tuner? #hamradio

More testing shows SWR not in the red on 80m, 17m, 12m and a part of 10m. The doublet's dimensions are close to a ZS6BKW, showing more or less similar results.
Running the 2x 14m doublet for some tests. By luck, it's resonant on 20 meters with a decent SWR. No tuner needed so no losses. #hamradio
Recorded this remarkable local QRM at a friend's urban QTH. Not a specific pattern. It comes and goes throughout the day and is strongest on 80m. Anyone recognize this? Recorded in SSB. #hamradio #qrm

The 9m retractable Geroh mast from surplus-elektronik.de arrived yesterday. Next up is digging a hole, pouring a concrete base with 2" inch steel pipe and assembling a tilt mechanism. #hamradio
