Prince Avenue Christian School senior Riordan Dixon has been named a Commended Student in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program, recognizing his outstanding performance on the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Each year, approximately 50,000 students nationwide earn top scores on the PSAT/NMSQT and receive recognition through the National Merit Scholarship Program. Of those students, more than two-thirds are named Commended Students in recognition of their strong academic potential and the important role their schools play in supporting academic achievement. While Commended Students do not advance to the next stage of the competition for National Merit Scholarships, this distinction recognizes their academic achievement and may provide opportunities to be considered for other scholarships. Riordan is the son of Kelly and Kelly Dixon. Prince Avenue Christian School congratulates Riordan on this outstanding academic accomplishment. #pacsacademics

Congratulations to Prince senior volleyball standout Emma Philo, who recorded her 1,000th career kill on Thursday, October 1! Emma becomes just the second player in Prince volleyball history to reach this impressive milestone, following former Wolverine and Eastern Kentucky standout Anna Greer Vandagriff. A four-year varsity starter, Emma has earned All-Region honors in each of the past three seasons and served as team captain during both her junior and senior years. Head Coach Morgan Garretson says reaching the 1,000-kill milestone is a significant accomplishment and a testament to Emma’s dedication and hard work. “I am so proud of Emma for reaching this milestone. Being the second in school history to do so is incredible. She has worked tirelessly over the last four years to become an elite volleyball player, and along the way, Emma has become a role model for so many in our Prince community. Her legacy as one of the top volleyball players in school history is one that will last for years to come.” #pacsathletics
