I watched the first episode of Jonathan Meades' 'Abroad in Britain' last night, and thought pretty much straight away, why is the BBC no longer capable of making programming like this? It's 36 years old, but still whips along beautifully in its editing, music and 'Meades'

Was showing my daughter some old Peanuts clips on YouTube and I stumbled across a core memory that one shotted me as a kid. Completely forgot about it until today, but the images are hard seared into my brain. Used to rewind the VCR to watch it back over and over.

UK's Space Church and the sonic indie rock escalations of "First Cockcrow" feels like a dreamy collision of progressive 80's-esque jangle pop, proto punk and new indie iterations. spacechurch.bandcamp.com/tra… #newmusicalert #altrock #janglepop #80s #indierock #UK #progrock #jamband

This 1679 “Sabionari” Stradivarius is the only playable guitar by Antonio Stradivari left in this world.🤗 So take just a moment to hear a sound that’s well over 300 years old!👇❤️‍🔥

Python’s “Marching Up and Down the Square” is pure genius. Michael Palin (83 today) hits notes that only dog whistles and Mariah Carey can match. The “extras” were real Colchester Garrison soldiers, who later said they were “fighting for their lives” not to break. 😂🤣

Eight Days a Week, BBC 2, 1984. George Michael — aged 21 — discussing 'An Ideal for Living', a book dedicated to Joy Division. That sharp swipe at Paul Morley of NME... 🤭 Talent in his voice, talent in his mind 🎤🧠 #georgemichael #wham
