PBA insider

It's honestly time to cancel Isiah Thomas. All the b.s. that comes out of his mouth because of his hatred and jealousy of Michael Jordan is absolutely comical. People should discontinue patronizing the few media outlets that continue to get garbage basketball material from him.

No lies detected.

Antman, Hali, Kawhi, Banchero, Jaren Jackson, Jalen Williams and Suggs, all these injuries to begin the NBA season are disturbing to say the least. It's commonplace for players to suffer injures as the year progresses but to have serious ones (to stars) this early is bothersome.

Yaxel Lendeborg is surprisingly making all sorts of NBA history, becoming the first rookie *ever* to record 100+ pts, 40+ rebs and 20+ asts in his first 5 games. More importantly, the Dubs won its second straight game by beating the Wolves powered by Steph's 44 pts (on 6 threes).

Much deserved. As a fan of the 90s Hornets team (Lj was my guy), Bogues being able to do all that he could at his height made him truly special. The thing with Mugsy is that he wasn’t a defensive liability even at 5’3 but more so on offense since he couldn’t shoot from distance.

The Dubs finally win one behind a perfect shooting game from Steph (24 pts, 100% fg, 3fg, ft) and Yaxel Lendeborg’s 31 pts, 12 rebs, and 6 asts. Aj Dybantsa has yet to play a game but Cam Boozer, Caleb Wilson and Lendeborg will be battling it out for the Rookie of the Year award.

Jalen Williams (dislocated left ankle, fractured fibula) and Cason Wallace (torn labrum) both being out for the season is a massive blow for Okc’s title hopes esp after it lost Dort, Wiggins and Joe. The injury Williams sustained could be career-altering as well (Gordon Hayward).

Not a good day in the NBA for Jalens and injuries. That gruesome lower leg break by J-Dub is particularly painful to watch (will surely be out for a long time). Jalen Suggs went down with a likely Acl tear and if diagnosed as such, will also be out for the rest of the season.

Zero-three to start the season for the Warriors and all three losses were horrible. The only bright spot has been Yaxel Lendeborg who had another strong performance of 26 pts (6 threes), 9 rebs, and 5 asts. There's little doubt that it's gonna be a long a$$ season for the Dubs.

With Blackwater losing earlier, the top 3 picks of the 2027 PBA draft are set: 1. Nlex, 2. Titan Ultra, 3. Ginebra. At least that's what the order *should* be. Expected to be selected with the top picks are Kymani Ladi, Dj Fenner, Ced Manzano, and Mason Amos (if he declares).

If there ever was one conference for independent teams to win a PBA title, it's definitely this (let's be honest, Nlex has always acted like a farm team for Tnt). Gotta love how these playoffs are bracketed with all the (fill in the blank) franchises grouped on the same side.

An absolutely thrilling win by the Sixers over the Cavs, coming back from 29 pts down (a franchise record in the play-by-play era; also Cavs' largest blown lead since '97) to open the season with back to back wins. Maxey is looking sensational so far, scoring 60 pts in 2 games.

Luka did drop 23 pts in the first half vs the Dubs but him talking trash to Lendeborg when he didn't score a fg when defended by the rookie except for the halfcourt buzzer beater is silly. The Lakers did give up a lot to get Kessler but he's lookin like an exceptional fit so far.

It's merely game 1 of the season but it's evident that Brown and Lebron have raised the IQ level of the Sixers. Aside from displaying much improved defensive versatility, their offense looked a lot more methodical compared to last year. Lebron will be seeing lotsa mins at center.

Just as Paul George set a Celtics record for a debut game, Jayson Tatum scored a very inefficient 13 pts on horrendous 6/23 fg shooting including 0/7 from three. Not to say that Brown is better but Boston fans will soon find out how valuable he ultimately was to the franchise.

Solid opening day win by the Sixers, spoiling the Knicks' much anticipated "ring night". Defeating the defending champs in the first game of the season is often a good sign of things to come. Jaylen Brown had 19 pts, 8 rebs and 6 asts in his Sixers debut. Lebron with 14, 4 and 5.

Props to Paul George for setting a Celtics franchise record for the most pts in a debut with 38. There's little doubt that he can still play, it's his health that is always in question. One can only hope he stays away from injuries throughout the season, most esp in the playoffs.

Why is there even any confusion regarding the top 3 picks of the 2027 PBA draft when the correct order should be very clear: 1. Nlex (via Blackwater), 2. Titan Ultra, 3. Ginebra (via Terrafirma). First the spurious trade approval, now powers that be trying to change the sequence?

Ben Simmons tearing an Achilles tendon is very unfortunate just as he was playing fairly well for the Kings during the preseason. Signed to merely a one-year minimum deal, questions will obviously arise regarding a future NBA return after this latest, more serious setback.

Tremendous come from behind win by Converge (its fifth straight overall) over Tnt to claim the third seed in Group A as it finished with an 8-4 record after the elimination round. Alec Stockton played his best game this conference hitting clutch buckets to finish with 19 points.
