It was rainy, it was chilly. But FDR XC had the best time at the NY State Nighttime Showcase! What’s better than a Cross Country race? How about a Cross Country race at night?!! Our squad had a blast!

USA’s Cole Hocker IS COLD BLOODED as he pulls off the MASSIVE UPSET to win Olympic Gold in the 1500m in Paris. Yared Nuguse took Bronze. Two Americans haven’t been on the podium of the 1500m at the Olympics since 1912. USA Middle Distance IS BACK!!!

Big day at the Section 9 Championships for FDR! Silver medalists were Noah Tarkos in high jump, and Marina Scott in the 400. Congrats to Aidan Ferragine, the Section 9 champ in Steeplechase and Edgar Quinonez who is the Section 9 champ in Discus breaking the FDR school record!

MHAL Champs! It was a long night and a ton of hard work but a total team effort led to both the boys and girls FDR Track & Field teams winning the 2024 MHAL Championship. What a night! Hard work pays off!

What a busy but great weekend for FDR XC/TF at Ocean Breeze. Congrats to our medalists: Ajani Barnes in soph long jump, Dafina Berisha in weight throw, Olivia Peek in racewalk, and Marina Scott in the soph 400 and 200. Marina also broke her own FDR school record in the 200!
