This is why we don't fuck with @UKLabour anymore...
Andrea Jenkyns just said public sector workers should be denied the right to strike - even though it’s a fundamental human liberty.
So much for being the workers’ party.

The FBU stands with @RMTunion members facing job losses and deportation as a result of the Home Office's sudden change to work visa rules.
These changes are cruel and reckless - threatening workers and the public services they run.

Honoured to join staff protesting redundancies @royalacademy yesterday. ICYMI, the RA is imposing job cuts for the 2nd time in 5 years. This strategy didn't work in 2020, it won't work now. Follow @IWGBcharity for updates on this important campaign and ways to support the workers

If you haven't already given to this fundraiser to save an independent museum dedicated to educating people on gynaecological anatomy and all that goes with it, please do!
We can't believe it! Less than five hours after going public with our emergency fundraiser, we are past the halfway point! More than ÂŁ30,000 raised! That's a *hole* lot of love for this museum which means so much to so many of you gofundme.com/f/btscc2

It should surprise no-one that government cuts to arts and culture funding lead to serious damage to our ability to care for and access our national heritage. This is a prime example. The Tories should never have cut funding to this crucial organisation

Horrendous news from English Heritage that 200 jobs are at risk, affecting PCS Culture Group members. We stand in solidarity with affected workers and call for @EnglishHeritage to explore every alternative avenue to avoid compulsory redundancies

Friends, we need info! If you work in a museum/gallery/arts/heritage org, where do you work and are you still doing hybrid working?
📣📣 Museum professionals! Prepping a presentation for later this month about successful exhibition management. If you were coming, what would you want to hear about?!? Drop a comment and help me out, I am beginning to suspect my job is actually quite complicated 🙏

Sick pay should reflect national living wage according to Citizens Advice.
What can we say, when we're right, we're right
theguardian.com/law/2024/nov…
If the National Living Wage is determined as the bare minimum you need to survive then there is absolutely no reason for statutory sick pay to be set even one penny lower than that.

Rewatching The Wrong Trousers. While I accept Feathers McGraw is a bad penguin, this museum is a shambles and they have not even begun to follow best practice when displaying a high-value object. No insurer is indemnifying that diamond displayed in that way. Frankly insane
