Breaking news: India is providing medical treatment to Afghan national Taqwa, a resident of Paktia, who has close links to the Gul Bahadur Group. Taqwa was issued a visa by the Indian Embassy in Kabul in September, travelled to India on September 30, and underwent surgery today. He is pictured alongside Afghan national Abdul Razzaq Izhar, who carried out the suicide bombing at Bannu Cantonment in March 2025.
During Ashraf Ghani’s government, Taqwa sustained injuries during an operation conducted by Afghan security forces. He is currently receiving medical treatment for those injuries in India.
