These iconic characters will forever be Mel Blanc. To duplicate the amount of life Mel put into each individual character is near impossible. For a brief moment in animation history I get a chance to voice the very characters that influenced me to be a part of this industry – at Toronto, Ontario

Oh my days guys. I am so sick of going on youtubz and seeing that Squidz guy’s Al Crash Bandicoot thumbnails.
It feels like Crash community is just littered with Al shlop nowadays and it breaks my heaaart.

Eric Bauza “carried the legacy of Looney Tunes with a devotion few bring to their work,” writes “Coyote vs. Acme” producer Chris DeFaria:
“He voiced Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Marvin the Martian, and so many more. And he never treated them as a job. To him, they were icons who deserved to be honored, protected, and kept alive for new generations. He championed these characters tirelessly in every room he walked into.”

The Television Academy is saddened by the loss of prolific voice actor Eric Bauza. Last month, he demonstrated his incredible talents while presenting at night two of the 78th Emmys.
Throughout his career, Bauza was honored for his voiceover work with three Children's & Family Emmy Awards and will be remembered as the modern voice of iconic Looney Tunes characters Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and many other beloved characters.🐰 🎙️

Remembering prolific voice actor Eric Bauza, who told Variety’s @marcmalkin at the “Coyote vs. Acme” premiere in August that he hopes the film’s success “wakes up the people upstairs to pay attention and realize these characters matter more than they think.”
*in Daffy Duck’s voice* “You can’t mess around with the ‘Looney Tunes.’ Toughest fans in the world!”
Bauza died at his home as a result of hypertensive cardiovascular disease. He was 46. Read his obit: variety.com/2026/film/people…

We’ve lost the Mel Blanc of our generation.
Eric Bauza didn’t just bring these characters to life, he was the ultimate fan. I was lucky enough to talk with him while COYOTE VS. ACME sat in limbo, and he was so grateful for all the support that film received.
In an industry drifting toward generative AI, losing a talent like his hits even harder. He was a bastion for the craft who never backed down, even when the tide turned against him.
Fuck I’m honestly without words. We truly lost a legend 💔

His extraordinary talent, boundless enthusiasm, and genuine passion were an inspiration to us all. Eric brought a special energy to everything he did, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
We will miss him dearly. Our hearts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
