I want to travel the world, not just for vacations, but for work, conferences, summits, volunteering, workshops, education, and opportunities to make a real impact.

there are elders in my bones whom i have never met. their prayers are tucked and hidden beneath my skin. their courage is threaded through my hair. i walk into the world thinking i am alone, until i remember who walks with me.

Your bank app showed your salary to strangers, and nobody told you.
The @InforegulatorSA just fined @FNBSA R1M under POPIA. A misconfigured app setting allowed 696 customers to view the home loan applications of 88 others, including their incomes, addresses, and, in 9 cases, account numbers.
What makes it worse is that two customers flagged it in 2022. However, FNB treated each as a one-off, never reported it and didn’t fix it. The Regulator also caught FNB collecting personal data from newspapers and retaining some records indefinitely without a legal basis.
Meanwhile, other SA banks drew a line in the sand on AI agents this week. So,
/ @CapitecBankSA says no third-party AI agents, screen-scrapers allowed
/ @AbsaSouthAfrica says if you share your login with an AI and lose money, you may be held liable.
/ FNB says it does not yet allow third-party AI agents to access customer accounts or make transactions; however, they are building a framework for approved AI assistants with a per-action consent
/ @Discovery_SA says it doesn’t currently allow AI agents into accounts
Big ups to @InforegulatorSA. They're really busy. Other relevant regulatory entities really need to catch up and set direction. Otherwise, the private sector, banks in this case, will do as they please.
In the EU, they don't play games.
For now, the message to fintech founders is clear. Build on consent-based APIs, not shared passwords.
Would you let an AI agent transact in your account?

Don’t pray for money. Pray for protection, wisdom to make the right decisions, and good health to enjoy the blessings that come your way. ❤️

SARS: Remember that you need to submit your social media income.
🤠: Yeah I did, I had some X revenue payouts.
SARS: Thanks for submitting that, but now you're a provisional taxpayer because it's an additional income to your salary / R30 000 then you're supposed to submit every six months.
🤠: Well, no - because I didn't know I'd be paid that. I had one viral post that pushed me over at the end of the tax year.
SARS: Well, now you're a provisional taxpayer.
🤠: Well, no, because X ended the revenue sharing so I no longer receive anything.
They aren't ready for half the stuff they want people to declare.

Can we normalize admitting that you want to get married, but you're also scared of choosing the wrong person? 😭
Like, Lord, I want a partner, not a lifelong character development program. HAHAHAHA.

This is so me 😭 I’ve filled my life with things I genuinely love doing. I enjoy my own company so much. If I’m not out doing something I love, I’m at home resting, reflecting, processing life and just being. I’ve never really been a friendship group kind of person... It’s the most peaceful thing ever for me because I’m genuinely built like this. 😂❤️

I think we should be teaching children metaphysics and universal laws, the power of saying no, the art of discernment, the power of silence and stillness, the law of detachment, the truth about money (it's just energy), the importance of connecting with nature and grounding ourselves, the power of forgiveness, and, most importantly, the importance of having fun and playing.
And above all, the golden rule: “As within, so without”

Does anyone else remember Sunset Beach, aired on Channel 5 late 1990s?
I bloody loved that show so much, it was so awful that it was brilliant. 🤩

After politicians, the people I dislike the most are those who work in the municipality’s billing department. Making mistakes and failing to account for them is their second nature. 😭😫
