Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India, launched Fodder Plus FPO Products in Sikkim, highlighting the role of Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) in strengthening rural livelihoods and promoting product diversification.
Sikkim Milk Union has promoted two Fodder Plus FPOs — Gyalshing Feed and Fodder Producers Cooperative Society and Himalayan Feed and Fodder Crop Producers Cooperative Limited. The newly launched products include organic honey, Niger seed-blended powder, and organic biscuits and sweets made from millets and buckwheat.
The initiative aims to promote organised production and marketing, strengthen the livestock value chain and create additional income opportunities for farmers.

Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of lndia Rajiv Ranjan Singh visited the Ridge Park Orchidarium, this morning.
The Minister was taken on a guided tour of the Orchidarium, where the minister was briefed on its distinctive features and the diverse collection of orchids.
The tour also highlighted the diverse uses of orchids and traditional methods of their safe transportation.

Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, digitally launched the North District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd. (NDCMU) under White Revolution 2.0 on 2 November 2026 at Mangan, Sikkim.
From FY 2026–27, NDCMU has been included as an implementing agency under White Revolution 2.0, with a target of forming 15 new Dairy Cooperative Societies (DCSs) to expand cooperative dairying in North Sikkim, strengthen milk procurement and enhance farmers’ livelihoods.

The Minister urged National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to extend all possible assistance to Government of Sikkim that requires to maximize Milk Production.

Kisan Credit Cards provide fish farmers with timely institutional credit for essential working capital needs, including fish seed, feed, labour and other operational expenses. This helps them manage production costs, sustain farming activities and strengthen their livelihoods.
