Bullet, white to move. What are the odds that @MagnusCarlsen beats me in this position? 🤔. Claude chat thinks it’s a measly 15% chance and that’s by trying to run down the clock. #Chess

Goodbye Raymond, but do not gaslight us
Do not gaslight us into believing that your decision to join government is simply a neutral professional move, or that we should celebrate it as an act of national service. Serving the state is not, by itself, honourable. The nature of the state you serve matters.
Those who chose to serve apartheid South Africa could, by strict definition, be called public servants. Officials who used their knowledge, skills and positions to sustain brutal colonial systems in places like Congo could as well be said to be people who were simply doing their jobs. They were collaborators.
They became active participants in systems of oppression. Their education and professional abilities did not make their service neutral. In some cases, those very abilities made the system more effective.

You know the funniest thing about Rwanda haters who are Rwandans (Nabyumva ari abandi)? They seem to want NOTHING good to happen to Rwanda. And honestly, that is what makes their fight so weak.
You can have legitimate differences with the leadership of a country. Challenge the policies. Point out what isn’t working. Tell voters what you would do differently and the solutions you would bring to address those challenges. That is a perfectly legitimate political position.
But when you look at everything good happening in Rwanda and your only response is, “Rwanda is still a poor country, so Rwanda can’t host F1” … Nyef Nyef Find some substance! 🤦🏽♀️
If your argument is simply to dismiss every achievement because you oppose the leadership, you’re not really making a strong case for anything. Bring substance. Challenge the policies. Present alternatives. But this constant need to downplay anything positive about Rwanda? VERY weak. 🙄

I Would Not Say the Shahada
When I came to Christ, I hid it. Only a handful of people I trusted knew.
Then a cousin I trusted sold me.
They went to my mother first. She cried from shame. She thought they were lying, jealous, she said, because I was doing well at school. She wanted to prove them wrong.
They gathered at my aunt’s house. Family gatherings were normal. I walked in thinking it was just another day.
The air was wrong. Every face in the room was on me.
“Are you still a Muslim or did you become a Nasrani?”
I laughed. Tried to turn it into a joke. It died in the room.
My mother was holding back tears. “Just say the Shahada. Prove them wrong.”
A few seconds. They felt like a year. On one side: my mother’s face. On the other: the truth.
I chose the truth.
“Mom, I can’t.”
Then the room broke.
See? We told you.
Yelling. Spitting.
Go to those Christians. Let them feed you.
You are a shame to your father.
My mother sobbing.
I went numb. The noise fell behind me like a film I was no longer in. I walked out with nowhere to go. The world I knew had collapsed, not because I had become a criminal, but because I had left Islam.
That is what apostasy is in that world. Not a change of mind. A public execution of your name. In some places a physical execution as well, thankfully mine was not the case.
Leaving Islam is a rebirth. You get your lungs back. You get your mind back. You get your humanity back.
If I had said the Shahada that day, I would have bought peace with a lie. I would have stayed a slave to the crowd, safe, loved, and dead inside.
I remembered the words of Jesus:
“What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?”
I lost the room.
I kept myself.

🚨🎙️ JOHN TERRY ON ARSENAL AFTER THEIR GAME AGAINST CHELSEA:
🗣️“Let me be honest, Arsenal fans probably won’t enjoy hearing this from me, but somebody has to say it.
I watched Arsenal against Chelsea and I kept asking myself one question: is this really the team everyone is telling us is ready to dominate Europe?
Because I didn’t see it.
I saw a team that looked scared to lose rather than desperate to win.
The football was slow. The build-up was predictable. Everything looked rehearsed until they got anywhere near the final third, then suddenly it became ‘let’s wait for a set piece.’
And Arsenal fans will tell you they are Premier League champions. Fine. Congratulations.
But Europe doesn’t care about what you won last season.
You can’t walk into the Champions League expecting corners, free-kicks and favourable decisions to rescue you every time the football stops working.
Real Madrid will punish you.
Bayern will punish you.
Barcelona will punish you.
PSG will punish you.
Those teams won’t sit there worrying about Arsenal’s reputation.
They’ll attack you.
They’ll test your mentality.
And if Arsenal play the way they played against Chelsea, they could be in serious trouble.
I also saw some big decisions go Arsenal’s way against Chelsea, and let’s be honest, that made their job much easier.
But you can’t depend on referees when you’re trying to win the Champions League.
What happens when the referee says play on?
What happens when you don’t get that free-kick?
What happens when the opponent refuses to let you control the game?
That’s when I want to see the real Arsenal.
Because right now, I see a very good team.
But I don’t see a team that scares Europe.
And there’s a massive difference.
Premier League champions? Absolutely.
Champions League favourites?
Come on.
Let’s not get carried away.
Until Arsenal prove they can beat Europe’s best without relying on set pieces, physical battles and controversial decisions, I’m not buying the hype.
The Champions League is not won on reputation.
It’s won on nights when everything goes against you and you still find a way to win.
That’s the Arsenal I’m waiting to see.”

Let me get this straight….
In 33AD Rome nails a man to a cross under Pontius Pilate.
Tacitus records it.
Josephus records it.
The Talmud sneers at it.
His own mother watches it.
And His disciples die preaching it.
Then 600 years later a book drops and says……relax guys it was a look alike. You all got played.
Thats not justice.
Thats a late reworking with better branding.
If ur god has to fake the most attested death in the ancient world just to keep Jesus from becoming too important…hes not defending a prophet.
Hes rewriting history and hoping nobody checks the first century sources and that youll just believe the rewrite instead.
The Bible is corrupted

Why was the prophecy linked to a specific geographical location—namely, the settlements of Kedar in the Hijaz, where the Prophet Muhammad was born and received his revelation, and Mount Sela in Medina, where he established his rule and where he passed away

I wish I could help every single Muslim see this: The question that will matter on the last day isn’t “which religion?” It’s “what did you do with the Son?”
I was terrified of standing before God accused of leaving Islam. My family made sure I felt that fear.
Then I realized the real question flips everything.
One day I will stand before God. And the deciding question won’t be “why did you leave a religion” or “did your scale balance.”
It will be: “What did you do with My Son?”
“Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12.
Not the weight of deeds. Not the correctness of the system. The Son.
On that day, no forensic argument will save me. No amount of “I got the details right” will help. Only one thing will hold: His blood, covering my sin.
“There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12.
All the evidence in this file is meant to bring you to that one question, and help you answer it right.
What will you do with the Son?
Everything, this life and the next, hangs on your answer.
Make sure you have the Son.

When I was Muslim, the Incarnation was the most offensive doctrine in Christianity to me. God, becoming a man? Degrading. I mocked it.
Then a widow from Moab explained it to me.
Ruth. Foreigner. Broke. No future. And an old law the Quran never carried: the kinsman-redeemer. If you fell into ruin, a relative could buy you out of it and bring you into his family. Ruth 4.
But the redeemer had to qualify. Three conditions:
ABLE to pay.
WILLING to pay.
And RELATED. Family. No outsiders allowed.
Boaz was all three, and Ruth the foreigner ended up in the family line of King David, and of Jesus Himself. Matthew 1:5.
Now run my rescue through those three conditions.
Able to pay for my sin? Only God.
Willing? Only love.
RELATED? Then God… has to become… one of us.
A God who stays in heaven can pity me. Only a God who becomes my RELATIVE can buy me back.
It’s as if He made the law and decided to play by it Himself.
“Since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise partook of the same things.” Hebrews 2:14.
The doctrine I mocked was the mechanism of my rescue.
He became my brother to become my Redeemer. And He paid in full.
