Chancellor John Healey is being accused of hypocrisy.
He resigned as Starmer's Defence Secretary saying the government had not put enough money into the defence budget to keep the country safe, yet now he is in charge of the purse strings he is indicating there will still be no more money going into defence.
Healey is happy to stay put & say nothing. I wonder why that is.
At the time I said John Healy's resignation was key in removing Starmer & making Burnham Prime Minister.
Maybe Healey’s resignation had nothing to do with the defence budget & everything to do with making Burham PM & him Chancellor.

With tens of thousands of migrants illegally entering Spain, there is a risk they could find routes into Gibraltar and travel through Europe and head towards the UK.
Spain has already granted amnesties to illegal migrants and this is encouraging more to come.
