Johnny Cash, famed country & western artist, met his equine racehorse namesake & owner/trainer Ian Signal at the Intercontinental Hotel, Auckland in March, 1971. Dad took the horse for the meeting as he was his loyal strapper. Ian trained Johnny Cash on his stud farm next door.
