On 20th October, in Uasin Gishu County, the nation gathered to honour its heroes, and through music and dance we told Kenya's story with pride. That moment did not happen by chance. It was carried on the shoulders of many, through weeks of auditions, rehearsals, early mornings, late nights and quiet sacrifices that the cameras never saw. To our performers: you were the heartbeat of the day. Our cultural troupes, choirs, schools, bands and popular artistes brought the songs, dances and stories of our communities to the national stage with grace, discipline and passion. You honoured the heritage of Uasin Gishu, Nandi and Elgeyo-Marakwet, and you reminded all of us that Kenya's creativity is one of her greatest treasures. Thank you for giving your very best. To our music officers, choreographers, trainers, technical and production crews, and coordinators: thank you for the countless hours behind the scenes. Your teamwork, patience and calm under pressure kept hundreds of performers organised, cared for and ready. Every smooth transition and every memorable performance carries your fingerprints. To the National Government, the National Celebrations Steering Committee, and the County Governments of Uasin Gishu, Nandi and Elgeyo-Marakwet: we are deeply grateful for your leadership, coordination and unwavering support in delivering this important national celebration. To the ministries, departments and agencies, our partners, stakeholders and every team that stood with us: thank you. Your collaboration gave Kenyan music, culture and talent a platform to shine. We truly value these partnerships and look forward to walking together as we continue to promote Kenyan music, nurture talent and safeguard our rich cultural heritage. On behalf of the Permanent Presidential Music Commission, I humbly thank everyone who played a part, big or small, in making Mashujaa Day 2026 a success. Together, you showed what is possible when we serve our country with one heart and one voice. Mungu awabariki sana. Asanteni!
