Local team also got same pricing this AM. But couldn't assist. So 15 mins with @Selfridges customer services...with no resolution. Asked to speak to manager, 5 minutes on hold, then disconnected. #CustomerService a bit more than cr@p. @MartinSLewis any thoughts?

Apply an agile approach to agility and achieve big through small. Start with small teams, small slices of value, and small investments. The time to value, to learning, to achievement, to improving outcomes (not just activity) is sooner.

It needs repeating, repeatedly.
Agile is a means to an end, not an end in itself.
I've just come across another large (German) firm "deploying" #Agile by "implementing" #Scrum to "deliver" #businessagility
Will they be extending beyond the basics of agile?
Will it work out?

Apparently, we know that...
"What worked in the past will not work in the future"
So, why do so many organisations still advocate systems that were established a century ago?

Unearthed a truly excellent article on @johncutlefish blog, The Beautiful Mess, titled 'We need someone who has done "it" before'.
Much resonates. As someone who's sorted out "it" in 1 year, having never done "it" before. I replaced 3 who'd done "it"; but failed during 6 years

Refreshing. "Clean Agile" by @unclebobmartin
Love the final sentence...
"Those (#Agile) basics are old, tried, and true. No matter how much new fluff is added around the edges, those basics are still there, still relevant, and still the core of Agile software development."

#productcon love Elana's loop approach to product. Used extensively elsewhere. Not new, but works well. I often explain the one on my whiteboard...

"At the end of the day, culture in any organization is really just the sum of everyone’s attitudes and actions. You are the culture, so model the behaviour you want to see!"
Love this quote from @henrikkniberg @spotify engineering culture.
An #Agile journey in progress...

We've been "Doing #Agile" since the first lockdown.
Excellent news I respond.
So how is your #BusinessAgility journey to date, have you achieved an effective capability to innovate while responding to change?
Not yet, but we hold 15 minute meetings every morning.
Thoughts?

Is poorly implemented Agile giving Agile a bad wrap?
Why do you think it is happening?

Is it one of those things that we can not explain but decide to give a 'tag'? A bit like 'luck'.
Does luck exist or is it a state of mind?
Many view a mindset as a belief that orients the way we handle situations. Many believe some people are luckier than others, a way of life

What we've lost in the push to #agile software development, and how to get it back zd.net/2E8t9aA via @ZDNet & @joemckendrick
Joe, DSDM (long before XP or #Scrum), advocates that we should do just 'enough design up front' to understand/clarify the solution & plan

Indeed. You see it everywhere. In 2005 I led an inaugural #businessagility initiative for EU consulting business at @CGI_Global. Vastly improved service delivery hampered by wrinkles from within (eg HR). So systematically ironing them out to smooth the flow

Business Agility is all-encompassing.
It’s your ability to see where you are, to sense what's around and where you are going, and what is needed to help you move there.
