When I read this I thought “she’s mindlessly repeating something she heard.” Surely enough, she admitted it in the replies that she’s just parroting what she heard someone else say. They say that they’re delivered from the bonds of sin, but yet you will never stop sinning because you have flesh. This duality is what I’m pushing back against. They claim that they will always be sinners because of Roman seven. Then they claim that they are also spiritual because of one Corinthians 2. Neglecting the fact that Roman seven is a declaration of being carnal and stuck in carnality, and in one Corinthians two Paul says the carnal man cannot receive spiritual realities. A man who claims simultaneously to hold two opposing viewpoints will always be able to claim that people do not understand him, and that those people are getting it wrong. Claiming that you are delivered from sin and that you will always sin is to opposing viewpoints. Saying that you’re saved by faith, but you are regenerated before you have faith is two opposing viewpoints. It’s a constantly moving goal post which allows a Calvinist to declare that everyone does not understand them, if they do not agree. So you telling me that I’ve been corrected by someone who always moves their position is meaningless.
