This week I closed out my 3-part professional learning series at @PS60si. Thanks to Principal Bonanno for inviting me to be a small part of this amazing, beautiful school community where we examined our bias-based beliefs & discussed ways to mitigate biases.
Our celebratory Share Fair was overwhelmingly successful. Vertical teams shared their grade's work with colleagues to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of these tasks. Thank you for engaging in this experience. @drmarionwilson @CChavezD31 @D31DSPalton @PaulForbesNYC

Had a wonderful morning paying tribute to my fellow Veterans @PS60si, for the Rolling Thunder SI NY POW/MIA Chair dedication & flag raising ceremony. We kicked off Veterans Day weekend with a beautiful assembly/flag-raising ceremony alongside the 5th grade class of P.S. 60 and Rolling Thunder.
It is crucial to teach students the meaning behind Veterans Day, the POW-MIA flag, and the sacrifices those who served our country have made. Thank you to Principal Bonnano, Rolling Thunder, @PS60si faculty and PTA for organizing this important event. – at Staten Island, NY

This morning my elected colleagues and I went to @PS60si to remember our veterans and especially those POWs and MIAs who never came home. Thank you Principal Bonnano, Rolling Thunder, the PTA, and all the kids for supporting our vets.
